NAIL CHECK: VOL. I

I describe my style as minimalistic-glam — I tend to stick to the same color palettes [pink obviously, black, neutrals] and fit. I often throw in a pattern, purse, or other accessory as an “accent” or “pop” item but I think I’m pretty simple.

it took me forever to find my style. but now I can pretty confidently say that I’ve got my style style down packed.

[a high-school ex legit said “you’re mad pretty, but I hate the way you dress!” — I still got that aim message too sis🫠].

where I like to stand out though, is with my nails. maybe it’s the rebel in me lol but I hateeeeee the fact that long, colorful nails are considered to be “ghetto” or “unprofessional”, especially in the legal world, so I kinda started making it a point to stroll into my predominantly class with my long hoodrat-hoodrat-hoochie-mama nails [and very often a fully beat face and heels buttttt that’s another topic for another day lol]. even now, as I work for a pretty big corporation, I refuse to “tone down” my nails.

recently a couple of my IG followers dm’ed me + suggested I start a nail page or something. I brushed it off until a friend of mine said it — she suggested that I incorporate my nails into my business with a nail series to help promote my brand and increase engagement with my customers/potential customers. I thought about what she said for a few + thought, “what the hell, why not?? might as well since I take my nails so seriously lol”. so now, I’m starting #nailcheck, a series of my favorite nail designs! first up is my pride month nail set. it came out so BOMB! my nail tech understood the assignment and then some!

check out the #NAILCHECK BOARD on Pinterest, tell me what you think, and send me some suggestions on what to try next!

xo,

elle
